I am currently a Computer Science PhD candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand whereI am supervised by Professor Bruce Bassett and a member of the RAIL Lab. I am also a Google PhD Fellow in Health Research. My research focuses on the use of inference and AI systems in sequential diagnostic and patient management decision-making. My academic work is informed by nearly a decade of industry leadership, during which I filled the role of Principal Data Scientist at a large healthcare insurer and led a team of 15+ people prototyping and deploying AI and machine learning systems. I love to play board games, admire pigeons, and install fairy lights.
